Parenting and work in a post-COVID context
This conference aims to explore the challenges arising from the intersection of parenthood and paid work. While labour market inequality arising from the gendered norms of caregiving and parenting is not novel, COVID has accentuated the inequality, not just in regard to gender, but also in terms of its intersection with race, class, disability and sexuality.

Speakers include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner, June Oscar AO, philosopher Prof Fiona Jenkins, demographer Dr Liz Allen, political scientists EmProf Marian Sawer and Ariadne Vromen, epidemiologist Prof Lyndall Strazdins and lawyers Dr Anne Macduff, Cameron Roles and Emma Graham.

The conference is hosted by the ANU College of Law and supported by the Australian Public Service (APS).
